Flying Star Cafe

There are some things you come to trust over time. In Albuquerque, I’ve come to trust that dining at the Flying Star Cafe will always be a great experience.

That’s important in an eatery that becomes a Sunday morning ritual for breakfast, or your go-to-place when you don’t want to make choosing a restaurant feel like work. The food is always good here and is always delivered with Flying Star’s creative touch. Bring a newspaper, choose your favorite table, fine-tune your cup of ‘joe,’ and settle in. This is going to be good!

Flying Star serves creative American comfort food with a touch of flair in taste, texture, and color that is also reflected in their cheerful and eclectic decor. There is an emphasis on quality ingredients, and a good selection of seasonal specials to add a bit of variety to the menu.

However, the desserts are what I yearn for most.  Not only are they potent eye candy, begging for attention as soon as you enter the door, they also taste every bit as good as they look! Be forewarned, the cakes and pies at Flying Star will make you throw all caloric caution to the wind. You will find that temptation well worth indulging, and often!

After numerous visits to Flying Star, I can heartily recommend it for a meal any time of the day. Or, whenever your sweet tooth calls for a great slice of pie or cake…
